A Stage for Prestigious Events

Since our founding, we have had the privilege of hosting numerous prestigious bowls championships. For more than fifty years, the highlight of our calendar was the famous Porthcawl Open Bowls Festival, held during the traditional Miners’ Fortnight in July and August. This two‑week celebration drew competitors and spectators from across Wales and beyond, cementing Porthcawl’s reputation as one of the country’s premier bowls destinations.

From County Players to International Honours

Throughout our history, we have been proud to produce many talented County bowlers, some of whom have gone on to represent Wales at international level, winning National Championships and even British Isles titles. These achievements are a source of inspiration for our current members and a legacy we work hard to continue.

Built on Dedication and Community Spirit

Behind every trophy and every successful season lies the dedication of our club members and officials. Generations of volunteers have given their time, energy, and passion to ensure our enduring success, fostering an environment that is friendly, supportive, and inclusive.
